Weird, I have a brand new set of both here. 12589226(5.7 MLS) and 12589227(6.0L MLS) both bought a few weeks ago from SDPC. Thunder racing sells them as well

They didn't know what they were talking about 
There are definitely still different part numbers for a 5.7L and 6.0L head gasket! And of course, SDPC keeps plenty of all of these on the shelf, ready to ship!
