Ah Oh, another cam "?"
Need to pass CA sniffer (on a 00 M6), so I narrowed it down to...
MMS 218/218 .561 on 114lsa (safe) or...
B1 221/221 .558 on 114lsa
With stock heads (with valvetrain upgraded).
Q. Between the two, from 4000rpm+ what do you think the power under the curve difference will be?
Q. At what rpm will both peak at?
Q. What do you think the hp difference will be at 6400rpm?
Thanks to all who can help.

What was the deciding factor when you chose the MMS 218 over other cams in that range?
Did Ralph install those for you?

ps- The ultimate IMO is the XE-R 224/224 114LSA .581 lift cam. I am pretty sure you would pass emissions in that too.

Ralph did the install and dyno. He's the only one that has ever worked on my car.

99RedHawk, thanks for taking a guess. I figured bewteen 5-10rwhp.
My main concern is not wanting to rev to high, thats why I was looking at the MMS 218, however If my memory serves me correctly, Rebbot was going to need to shift around 6600 (Reboot, plaese correct me if I'm wrong). That seems awfully high for such a small cam with stock heads. Let alone adding S2's down the road.
Just trying to figure these two cams out.
Any more comments?

There is no doubt Reboot has made nice gains with the MMS 218, I would have thought that cam would have fallen flat on it's face above 6200rpm. I guess it doesn't.
Now, if I'm going to have to shift around 6600rppm with either cam, I might as well go B1 and gain a few ponies across the range. And may even respond better to S2's down the road.
Reboot, any track times yet, before/after? If not hopefully soon. I bet you're curious as I am.

<strong>DanZ28, I agree 221 is the limit you want to go safely on stock cubes here in cali.

My FLP Level IV tranny just arrived yesterday and should be installed today. I hope to have new #'s this weekend if the weather cooperates.
