What is Stock LS1 Preload w/stock 7.400" Pushrods?

.050?
.060??

What is the lowest amount of preload you could/should run with Stock Lifters? This is in reference to a thicker gasket lowering C/R to 9.6:1. Don't want to talk about quench.

Thx!

.060, thx.

Interesting note on the Intake Manifold.
Hopefully .024 doesn't affect it much.

I believe stock lifter preload is .060, I think Nick from ARE told me that once.

SJH posted that thicker head gaskets might result in MORE detonation.

The best way to lower CR is with the 6.0 L heads IMHO. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> I don't know what preload is, but your engine builder should know to check before he takes everything apart. He will then adjust the new setup with shims. You might have problems with the intake manifold fitting if you run too thick of a gasket.
