Default G5X3 cam with Trickflows ???

I have the G5X3 cam in my vette and want to do some heads soon. What does everyone think about the trickflows with this cam and how much do they run (price wise). Do any other mods have to be made to run these heads ? Thanks guys

You should be able to throw those heads right on there. Just do a DCR caculation to figure what the optimum Combustion Chamber size should be and Mill accordingly. I'm guessing you can take them down to 59cc's safely due to the increase P/V clearance. Also, Trickflow does not recommend using the stock rockers on these heads, they will fail after some time...I forget the exact reason why. I think the recommended rockers are the Harland Sharps.

If you are gonna drop the coin on the rockers, get the Jessels.

I wish I would have bought some of those comp ones you are talking about D. I could have got a set for under 250$ when I worked for that craptastic shop.

It should work fine, it seems the big power cams used with the TFS heads are in the upper 230's @ .050" on intake duration, but like was said, you will need roller rockers.
