Default Need a few questions answered!! Rocker arms and heads...

1) Anyone know how to contact Jessel. I need to ask them some questions about rocker arms. Or does anyone else make rocker arms? I know Crane has 1.8s, and I thought SLP or someone had 1.85s...

2) Is there any difference in the LS1 head castings for 99 - 02, excluding the LS6 heads.

3) Is there a cast-iron block for the LS1? I've heard that the new GM trucks have the cast-iron version of the LS1 block.

Thanks,
Kyle

I am running a 6.0 truck block in my application.

I have a 6.0 liter block that has been bored .060 but it was checked quite a bit for coreshift before it was selected for this big overbore.

Email nickagostino@yahoo.com and ask him, I think it's a 2000 block.

Jesel makes some street setup for $600-$700'ish in a stock ratio. I dont know if the cheap street ones are adjustible though...I'd hope so.

T&D also makes some, which is what is used on my webpage in my headswap document (blue shaft rockers), those too are around $700'ish and are 1.7's.

As for the head castings, I don't think anything significant has changed between heads after 99. I remember asking if there was a certain year core I should buy for porting, and Nick at ARE just said any 99+ would be fine.

Dunno anything about the iron block other than its a lot heavier and quite a few people have gone with them.

The Jesel Street/Strip series for the LS1 is available in 1.7, 1.75 & 1.8. They are not adjustable, but with a hydraulic valvetrain it's not super important. Last I knew they didn't have adjustables available for the L series heads.

Thanks for the info! I guess the reason I didn't find anything about Jesel is that it's spelled Jesel not Jessel! DUH!!

Thanks again for everyones input.
