What do the GTP guys use?

Typically less preload is better than more, but we're not talking about a big difference.

Hmm... not sure..

In the future I might go with a higher lift cam...

I MIGHT mill the heads again but I'm not really looking forward to pulling them off again. Cam is easy, heads are not.

Hi,

Application is a 3.8 V6.. but still comparable.

Stock cam base circle: 1.237
Stock pushrod length: 7.025 (3 piece 3/8")
COMP Cam XE base circle: 1.190
Heads have been milled .020"

So basically I need a pushrod 7.0285 in length.

I'm looking at http://www.compcams.com/catalog/ and they have many types of pushrods to choose from. I know I want chromoly 5/16" with a 210* tip. But what rod type do I go with.?

I plan to stop by E&R this afternoon and order them for tommorow.

Thanks.

Hmm... I can only find a rod from this page:
http://www.compcams.com/catalog/274.html

that matches.. it is 5/16" which is good.. chromoly good..

It has a rounded tip.. I think that should be good for .520" lift for now..

what do you guys think? I need 7.0285 but can shoose from 7.00 or 7.05.. so which do I choose?
