hmm, wow alot of different opinions!

my biggest problem, is my 60 foot time. i just cant hook off the line with regular street tires. so i think im gonna buy rims and tires first (draglites). and then im gonna look at getting a 12 bolt.

quick question!

when i get the 12 bolt, can i get bigger gears in the back at the same time? without hurting anything?

A fully optioned 12 bolt, shipped is under 3k, not including all the lil BS things, also BMR rear LCA relocation brackets and Spohn sway bar relocation kit.

Yes you can choose your gear ratio. My bud just installed his moser 12 bolt with 4.10's and it drives really nice, he has a bigger cam and the driveabilty improved greatly.

I think your an auto, if so 3.73's, m6 4.10's, if your not making more then 500 hp on a m6 car 4.30's could be an idea.

Hang on really quick your car ran an 8.50 stock? If so that is a really strong start. Personally i would get the dana 60 or the 9" forget the 12 bolt they are to big. Anyways you need to always start with exaust gotta get the air out. Next do the rear. Then do some susp. H/C/fast 90/90, after this you should have a very good running car. Granted you can get some traction.

First choice would be full intake and exhaust. You want your engine to breathe. Then drivetrain, clutch and rear (or stall if auto). Only then cam or heads/cam.

yes the car really did run 8.50 in the 1/8 mile! i took it to the track the night i bought it. and it was bone stock! i still have the time slip to prove it. on the first run (i was using street tires the whole night) i hooked really well, and the car ran 8.50. but the rest of the night i couldnt get traction. and my lowest 60 foot time was 2.00 .

but good news is, i beat my buddies 06 mustang gt both runs!
