Re: GM top end cleaner WOW! After reading this...I decided it was time to do mine...gonna change the oile tomorrow.
I payed $5.25 after tax for the spray cleaner from GM.
I sprayed it in the brake booster vacuum line...the engine wouldn't run with MAF placed to the side (but still connected).
The car barely idled with the brake booster line removed...but when I sprayed the cleaner in...idle steadily around 1000 rpm for the whole can...steady stream straight into the hose.
I let it sit for about 3 hours...then started it.
No smoke, but the idle was really bad.
So I drove off and I could see a little smoke out the back, but not near as much as I thought.
Then I floored it and got a nice white cloud of crap to blow out...continued for about 5 minutes of random WOT runs.
Car idles better now...I will check with ATAP to see if my knock retard is gone. Thanks for the suggestion.
