i have a cam that i got from a friend that is an are 222/230 540/550 lift cam, i just got a used set of mti stage 2 heads...

my question is, will the are cam work well with the mti heads? i have heard that mti heads work best with mti cams and are cams work best with are heads.

is this the case?

should i sell the 222/230 cam and get a mti cam, and if so, which one?

 

It will work fine, the names really have nothing to do with it, its really just the specs and how well things mesh together... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

If it were me though I would want a cam with a little more lift...

not sure of the exact lift, there was no cam card. i talked to someone at are today to verify that it was a 222/230 cam, and he rattled off some numbers and i didnt get a chance to write them down. i think it has more lift, but like i said, not sure exactly how much. it was supposed to be a good nitrous cam.
