Default ***heads/cam install finsished, go and pick up my car now***

You remember my post searching for help??

https://ls1tech.com/ubb/cgi-bin/ulti...c;f=1;t=003806

Now after huge additional costs (for searching the error and another camswap)
my heads/cam /LS6 intake / underdrive pulleys / Ford #30 Injectors install is finished and the car is running.

It turned out that the cam was 180° ground off.
We were ready to drive when we recognised that the engine fired 180° off, so we had to do that work all over again.

We got the cam yesterday and started the install.
I just got a call from my mechanic (I had to work today so couldn´t help him finish), that the car is running. He revved the engine and it holds the idle.
So I may not the need the idle relearn procedure (but I think I´ll do it anyway).

In an hour a friend of mine picks me up and brings me the 100 miles to my mechanic (he only does an engine and tranny oil change and then the car is ready).

I will hook up the AUTOTAP and watch my A/F meter on my way back home as I wanna check if timing and A/F is ready for the NOS.
I don´t have much time as first race is April 7th and I plan to spray me into the 9`s (as safe as possible).

Can´t wait to feel how the car runs now......and sounds.

I´ll keep ya all updated!!!

BTW, thanks to all of you for your intrest and for your help!!!

You all are

I´m sad that you all are so far away, or I would give a party!!!!

So all I can do is saying
THANK YOU
THANK YOU
THANK YOU
THANK YOU
THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I hope all is OK on my way home!!
I´ll let ya all know!!

Michael

Car is at home!!

Spins tires at WOT after downshifting at 70mph.
Love that.
It pulls and pulls....
And it sounds great.

But, I have three problems:

1) The valvetrain is loud (may be normal, but it`s louder than stock)
2) The car runs rich (should be under control with the MAFT, soon)
3) The car doesn´t shift in 4th when on WOT?!?!?
(Can it be the program on the new PCM that I got with an
custom programming) Hope that is it.

Any thoughts on that are welcome!!

The extra valvetrain noise is normal.
The rich running you can fix with the MAFT.

Your car is an A4 I assume?
If so, then it may be the programming.
Give the company that programmed it a call and see what they say.

thanks!

I´m bit nervous because of the troubles I had with the cam, so I´m happy to hear that the louder valve train noise is normal.

Yes, it´s an A4, I´ll give the programmer a call.
