Default Question about EMT heads??

It says on Raging Motorsports website for the Stage 2 heads that they come with "Isky Springs"...are these just the single springs or are they the dual springs?? and is it possible to get dual springs instead of single springs??
Thanks
Jay

mark should chime in here in a sec. he should be setting my clutch up right now! WOOOOHOOOOO!!

as for the heads, i am sure you can get any type of Isky spring you want. the single spring should be sufficient for still pretty big lift cams though.

BAD *** HEADS by the way! they are the new big boy on the block at a very reasonable price since they dont have the advertisement and overhead of the big named shops.

I had them confirm the springs via email. They are in fact the Isky 235-D single springs. I have a set on my stock heads with a T1 cam, and have not had any problems that I can detect so far, BUT... I have had alot of shops tell me it was a mistake to go with those springs with my T1 because they are VERY borderline to handle the lift.

I believe they may give you a choice between those Isky springs and some Comp 918 springs. They would need to come on here and confrim that in public though.

The EMT heads do seem like they are a great deal, and I'm stuck between choosing those, and some GTP Stage IIs from Thunder Racing. I'm going to make my mind up this weekend and order next week.

Hey guys,
They usually come with the Isky 235-D spings but more and more people are just opting for the 918's. I have run two different sets of Isky's on the B1 cam (once with stock heads and then new ones with the EMT heads) and have never seen a problem with them.

There are a crapload of these heads going out so we should see the results fomr these heads. I don't think anyone is going to be dissappointed. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Hey there guys for those of you using cams bigger than .570 lift I am going to start offering a few different options. The first are the Comp 918's. I have heard many good and bad things about these springs. The second option is the brand new Manley stuff. I havn't heard anything about these, but I have had very good luck in a few sprint car motors with manley springs. Any of you guys that have ANY questions at all please contact mark over at Raging Motorsports. Please give us some feedback on what parts you would like to see in the EMT/RagingMotorsports heads. Thanks guys!!!!

Sorry I forgot something.....I only try to push dual springs on guys that are running .600 + lift. All of the EMT heads come with single springs, but please inform of other mods, cam, etc. Anyone choosing a solid roller is encouraged to run dual springs.
