Default Cam and valvetrain question

I am about to install a TR224 cam in my car. I am going to put new springs, retainers, and pushrods in, but I was wandering if I need new lifters. The car has 50k miles on it. Thanks.

Ditto on the stock lifters. We have installed countless TR 224 cams with both stock and ported heads. We have yet to use anything but the stock lifters. If the car has a ton of miles, I would "possibly" look into another set. If you do purchase some, get the Comp R's. Don't even bother with the GM lifters as they are $$$$$ from the dealership.
