Default Stupid Question, need quick spark plug answer

We went to go tune the Camaro this weekend but found the clutch was slipping.

the clutch slipping has been fixed, BUT there is always something else.

Before tuning it, the FP was turned up a bit and the boost turned down a bit for a safe starting point.

Well I picked it up for the weekend and drove it around to find it start backfiring and getting lazy around town, too much fuel and not enough boost to keep the plugs happy.

I probably smoked a few of the plugs and need to change them. Turned the FP down and the boost back up but its too late for them. No one here that is open carries TR6's but I wanted to get the car on the road today so I went and picked up what I thought was 1 heat range colder than stock on a Champion RC14.

I bought the 12's but in checking it seems like the 9's might be the heat range colder than stock.

Anyone know for sure, the dudes at the parts store told me the 12s were one range colder than the 14's.

Thanks

Default Re: Stupid Question, need quick spark plug answer

As the # increases, the heat range decreases. So, a 12 is going to be hotter than a 14.
