Attention "(lifters collapsing at 5700 rpms)"
rwhp - 418 (lifters collapsing at 5700 rpms)
rwtq - 411
ET -
raceweight - 3300
comments : Idles like stock, little to no surge with a mean lope. I expect the numbers to be much higher once I get my valvetrain sorted out, maybe Comp R lifters will do the trick
[/qb]
[/QB]
I'm not saying you haven't thought of this ,but have you confirmed that your engine isn't valve floating rather than the lifters being a problem.
Good luck

Cam Specs:
Dur. @ .50 - 224/224 (XE-R)
lift int/exh - .581/.581
lobe sep. - 112
Degrees of advance ground in - 2
manufacturer - Comp Cams
vendor - Speed Inc.
Tranny - A4
CID - 5.7L
Aftermarket heads - No
Headers- FLP's w/ ORP
N/A, F/I, Nitrous- N/A
Computer reprogrammed - Ed Wright
throttle plate drilled (size) - TB blade cracked open some
Goals - great streetability with awesome 1/4-mile performance
idle/lope - lopey idle @ 800 RPM
Which spring was used - Comp 918
rwhp - 361.3 cutout open, converter unlocked; 379.9 RWHP cutout open, converter locked
rwtq - 358.2 cutout open, converter locked
ET - don't have yet due to pissed off Mother Nature
raceweight - will be ~3,575#
comments : I was very surprised at how well this cam idles. Streetability was not compromised at all, and with an idle of 800 in gear the car doesn't give me any problems (bucking, surging, stalling, etc.). I don't know why so many A4 guys are scared of a 112 LSA!
