Default Sulfur smell?

First off, this on my truck. It is a 1984 Silverado with a 350 and still has all the emissions. Well, I am replacing the intake and carb, and when I pulled out one of the intake bolts(the one right in front of the EGR), it REAKED like sulfur. What the hell is this all about? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Have you ever smelled the exhaust of a car without any of the emmissions stuff. It smells like sulfer (or rotten egg).

Completely normal for that to happen. Open up any motor that is that old and you will get the same thing.
