Default Corvette Heads, Cam, Intake

Hello,
I have a LS1 out of a '99 Camaro Z28, now I have the Chance to get a set of used Heads,a Cam and a Intake from a 2000 LS1 Corvette.
How much HP would I gain if I put this set onto my '99 engine

How much HP did the 2000 corvette make? You should be in that ballpark. (ie: you'll be about exactly the same unless it was a Z06 where the 3 pieces together might get you 40hp)

You could just take your **** out and put it back in at least then you would save the cash.

in that LS1 Performance book I read that the '99 Camaro is rated at 305hp while the 2000 Corvette is rated at 345hp, thats why I was asking.
I'm just wondering where the 40hp difference is coming from...

The difference comes from the General not admiting equal Hp for marketing purposes.
With better exhaust manifolds and true duals, output at the whells may be another 10rwhp in favor of the vette.
Internaly they are alike.

and what about the intake?
the only difference I know so far is that the Vette Intake doesn't have the hole for the EGR or does it also have a better airflow then the Camaro intake?

The intake manifolds are somewhat different, but the change did not come until 2001 where all the LS-1s received the same upgraded intake manifold as the Zo6. The Cams are different, the exhaust manifolds, the pipes, the cats, the mufflers, the MAF size, and the T/Bs are sometimes different. Some T/Bs that are cable driven do not open all the way at WOP. The air cleaners are different ( camaro air cleaner housing more restrictive to eliminate noise ?) Big difference in the computer programing.(Tune is less aggressive) If I am not mistaken the fuel injectors in the camaros may have a different rating also. I really don't think GM is hiding anything. The camaro out sells the vette and it's target market would buy even more of them if they made the engines hotter. The vette is GMs test project. What happens with the Rs C5r, C6r enentually filters down to the cars that they sell and everyone can afford. The C5-r was $450,000. I'm still waiting for afordable ceramic rotors. I can't afford $10.000. each rotor. Didn't mean go go on and on.

The 243 casting heads off 2002 Z06 would give you more power and so would the zo6 cam but there are better cams out there.
