Default ATI underdrive pulley

I sent my SLP underdrive pulley to my shortblock builder because I didn't have the tool to press it on. He didn't put it on or send it back so I called and he sent it to me next day. It is not my pulley. It was sent in an ATI box and the pulley is black but the center hub is just machine finished Aluminum (I suppose) and the bolt holes for pulling it off are almost flush with the front of the pulley. My SLP unit is all black and the pulling bolts set back in the balancer more. I know this isn't the pulley I sent him. I'm wondering if it's an ATI or not. I really want to get my car going since I haven't driven it since November but I don't know whether to use this pulley or not. Any suggestions?

Whisper underdrive pulleys have a tendency of sucking. False knock if I remember correctly. ASP is generally the way to go.

The ATI pulley they're talking about is the SuperDamper if I remember correctly. Good piece, but very $$$.

I thought the Whisper pulley had a red anodized center. The black pulley/silver center sounds like the ASP pulley to me.

So is it ASP or Wisper? It's not red anodized. Sounds like he lost my SLP pulley so I may have to settle for this one, whatever it is.

Sounds like you got a ASP pulley. Mine looks just like what you described. ASP make a good pulley and I would not use anything else.
