Default Emissions testing help !!

We have the tail pipe sniffer testing here. I flunked twice. Once with 600+ hydrocarbons and the second time with 800+ HC out of a maximum allowable 220ppm.
I have ported heads, 218/218 duration 114LSA cam, LT headers and gutted cats. What can I do to pass? Also my fans have been programmed by Superchips to come on around 200 so the engine stays pretty cool...does that hurt?
Is there any chance of me passing without cats with this setup? What about running denatured alcohol or something in the tank?

TIA

You're problem is your lack of cats. Put some on and you'll pass.

Don't worry about that engine temp. 200 degrees is fine. I used to get my Formula to pass running 180...

There has got to be a way a man can pass that test without cats, surely.

Anyone ever try pumping air into the exhaust using the factory air pump?

How about anything you can pour down the tank when you are near empty?

Surely someone has cheated the system (besides knowing the guy that runs it).

i have u beat dude, i live in n. ky & our test is identical. i failed the 1st time in the 900's. the second time i failed in the 1000's & i have cats. i have until april 12th to go back one last time. i am taking my hotcam out & replacing it with the T1. then i have to get it autotaped by a friend so we can adjust the maft.if i fail there is a claws in there that says if u spend over 200 in an effort to fix the problem they will pass u for 1 year. so when my heads & cam are done i will just show them the t1 reciept & tell them i switched cams for emmission perposes & should get a waiver. lol good luck, emissions sucks

OK then, what cats should I go with and who has the best deal? Will they hurt my power very much?
With the spray I'm making around 500rwhp. 400ish NA.

Total Engine Airflow Heads
Comp cam
TTS headers
McLeod clutch components
