Low H/C numbers, any ideas?

If you want to get in contact with me, we can start to go over the car. Im right here in Vancouver (WA), and have a few years of troubleshooting these vehicles Write me at cnolke@excite.com or viscerl@hotmail.com and perhaps we can get together and start autotapping and nitpicking.....

Thanks
I believe you should run the stock length 7.4 chromemoly ones. If they shaved your heads 0.030" and the base cirlce on the cam is 0.030" (diamter) smaller than stock.
That is my plan. I am putting in TEA stage 1 and the same cam I am sure and hope to get 400 to the ground.
Track times would be cool too. I have seen some dyno numbers be low on some cars that absolutely fly.
Keep us posted.

Good Luck, you will love that cam when you get the other issues worked out.

Get an LS6 intake on that car, thats an easy 10+ rwhp.

its amazing how little timing LS1 needs, just remember the less timing advance being used the more cylinder pressure present when spark does occur , this is extreme conditions for ignition system.

The before dyno baseline on the car was 307rwhp 324rwtq with bolt-on's.....
So what is killing my horsepower? Lack of all the bolt-ons? Or tunning? On the dyno I was getting up to 3 degree's of retard and timing was around 17-20 degree's.....So what do you think I was really hoping for at least 380rwhp....
Your timing looks very low. You may want to put your stock MAF back on the car and then autotap and see if your timing improves.
Are you an M6 or Auto?

It's a M6, should I also try the Hpp3 power tunning to see if that helps the timing?
How much "learn time" did you give the computer before you dynoed?
You should have NO problem seeing 400rwhp with your combo(after the Z06 intake)if everything is working properly.
Mine made 399hp 370tq with a smaller cam less aggressive TEA heads(old style), Z06 intake and the same headers as you. This was the first dyno before any tuning or anything. We did play around with a MAF translator and found about ~10hp. Don't get discouraged. The power is the there man you just gotta release it!
