Pondering my bearing choices, t-minus 2 weeks till my pistons show up <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Ignoring cost of replacement GM bearings...
What are legit reasons to not use OEM replacements?
I see too many threads with, GM "insert part here" suck use an aftermarket "insert part here" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
After seeing the excellent condition of my stock longblock after the abuse i threw at it, i don't buy it.
So, who's got some reasoning??

Well, here is a reason to possibly use the GM bearings.
I heard that clevite made most of the bearings for GM engines. Since you are high up on that food chain, find out for us. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> Surely you know someone who can tell you who makes the bearings.

Go to Clevite's site... they have alot of technical info on the different styles of bearings they offer. I used the CB663P for the rods. $18 for the set.

I am out since I have nothing else to contribute, sorry Harlan. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
