02 Valve Guide Seals and Spring Seats....

02 Valve Guide Seals and Spring Seats.... Anyone know why GM changed the valve guide seals on the 02's? They incorporate the spring seat and the seal in one piece. The valve spring seat is the same thickness as the ls6 spring seats, which is around .025 thicker than the 98-01 ls1 spring seat.

Re: 02 Valve Guide Seals and Spring Seats.... Hmm... a thicker seat gives a lower installed height, which adds spring pressure. Wonder if they were going for more pressure on the pitiful stock springs?
