New valve seals for 2002
New valve seals for 2002 I am sure some of you already know this. But just in case.
I just installed a hot cam in an 02 T/A and come to find out the valve seals are all new for the 02 models. The shims they give you with the springs won't work unless you go back to pre 02 valve seals. I checked on the heads and valves they are still the same part numbers. So that leads me to believe the you could install the old style seals on an 02. The new valve seals actually have the shims and seals in one piece. I used a micrometer on the stock shims and the hot cam shims and they were the exact same height. I was going to take a picture of the new ones but forgot my camera at home. I hope to be doing a set of LS6 springs to another 02 in the next couple weeks. Then I can get some pics.

Re: New valve seals for 2002 I put these in last October, after having an issue with some aftermarket teflon ones rising up the stem of the valve.
I like them. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> BTW I lost them soon afterwards, when I went to duel springs. Oh well!!

Re: New valve seals for 2002 I'm running the '02 valve seals on my '02 LS6 heads with CC 918's and 772 Retainers and no problems.
