Since you have the engine out it would be a good time. As far as stroke length I would call one of our sponsers. Now as far as what you will need if you are going to stroke it:
1. Crank
2. Pistons. To offset the increased stroke.
3. Rods. In my opinion if I am going to spend money and time then do it right.
4. Machine work. If you use stock rods then you will need them resized if not then you will still need to have your new rods checked along with ALL clearences.
5. Bearings.
6. Im tired and I know that I am leaving alot of detail out so I am going to bed.

Is this something you are planning on doing yourself, or are you just curious what is involved from a cost perspective?
You can always stroke without boring, though you will want to at least hone your block to ensure proper ring seating.

Yes I will at least ring it myself.I have done engine jobs before.Just not on ls1's and not strokers.I have installed cams on ls1's just no actuall rebuild. I know the concept just need to know if I would need all new internals for a stock bore stroke job.If so it might be best to bore it then stoke it big. What could I stroke to with the stock bore?
