This is a tough one.
It depends on budget, and what you like. Many like the sound of a cam and other perfer the near stock driveability of a supercharger.
Both can make very similar power.

Do you have 5000+ for a s/c How about installation cost> If you have 7000 to spend then I say S/c all the way. If not then research some head and cam combos.

you will get responses all over the board with that question.what do you plan to do with the car and how much of a tradeoff do you want from stock to wild ? you can get a mild h/c in the 420-450 range through an m6 or a more extreme setup with a monster cam in the 470+ range but it will be a dog down low and to most people not be very fun to drive.tell us what you want .with a 3k budget a set of ported 243s along with a mild cam in the 22x/23x range would be a decent combo for a street/strip car.

^ I agree. Do a mild H/C that will work with a charger down the road. That was my plan. I bought some 243 heads and a "blower cam" from LPE with the intention of doing a blower in a couple of years. I ended up finding a killer deal on a blower last month, so everything will be done next month. The cam sticky at the top of the page is a great one. You need a plan for the long term before you spend any money, otherwise you're just pissing it away. How many tunes do you want to pay for? Each new one means the last one's price just went up in smoke. The same goes for overlapping labor if you don't do your own wrenching. Even if you do your own work, the price of gaskets and related parts is spent twice.

yeah, id agree. do more research in the dyno section as well. see what combos people are running and see about what is normal for each set of mods. super chargers are nice, but are expensive. if you are interested in forced induction, id chech out the sts kits from out sponsers. the base kit starts off around 3-4 grand and are easliy upgradeable. i have seen decent numbers on them as well. there are also a lot of smaller factors you should also take into consideration. like the fuel system, suspension mods, getting a good tune, stickier tires, etc. when your making the kind of power that a blower or H/C package can make there are a lot more to think about than just buying it. i would also say save some extra $$$ for when you break something (10 bolt, 4l60e). do your homework first, so you dont have to worry about things later on. my advice is, if your looking for fast, cheap power, get a nitrous kit. you can spary a 125 shot on a stock car no problem. hope i helped you out.

Not at all if you stick with something like a LPE GT2 or other blower friendly cam.

You really need to do your research. All 8 of your post that you have so far are in this thread, and just by the questions your posting and your "I want horsepower" attitude Im willing to bet your still a teenager.

Call and ask them. They aren't going to lie to you. 5.3 = T3 is a potentially great combo. Not sure you need the bigger intake valves though. I would do the Ls6 heads if it were me.

Also keep in mind that even though you see heads and cam packaage that fit your budget there are additional cost such as timing chain, pump, gaskets, push rods, install fees(if not doing it yourself)Tune, and if your an A4(auto tranny)youd better set aside $2000 for a new tranny it will be on borrowed time on heads and cam.Mine whent just a month after my cam was put in,not as likely with most cam only A4,but heads and cam the tranny will be short lived, and what about tourque converter $450-700 to match cam?Now if your a 6speed tranny should hold, but now the rear will be on borrowed time, many people break these rears on 6speeds on stock power levels with a decent launch,so youll want $2000+ aside just in case the rear goes. Now Im not trying to spoil things for you just giving you a more realistic opinion on what thing s will really cost.I'd hate for you to buy the heads and cam package and cant get it installed or if you do the tranny or rear craps out and you dont have money to replace it
