Default Ordering My Cam Kit (TSP)

Well tomorrow i will be orderign my cam and the kit from TSP.. tell me if i am forgetting anything?!

KIT

Cam - 228/232 .588/.595 110+4 (ICL 106)

Springs - PRC Dual Springs or Patriots???

Retainers - TI Retainers

Seats/Seals - Included In Kit

Push Rods - Hardened forgot the brand they use.. But 7.4" or 7.425?? I have searched that the 7.425" will quiet the valve train down a bit.

Reuse Stock Locks???

Separately

* I will be buying an LS2 Timing Chain

* I will be buying a new oil pump... Is there a difference between and LS6 (ported and shimmed) Vs. SLP??

* Hypertech 160* T-Stat

* ASP UDP

Gaskets

    Let me know what you all think. Am i missing anything?

    you shouldn't need new valvecover gaskets. other than that it looks like you got everything.

      Patriot kit is more complete,
      Get the LS2 kit with gears
      Yes on new locks (but are in Patriot kit)
      Stock LS6 pump or LQ4 is enough and plenty
      You can get a gasket/bolt kit
      7.425s p-rod
      I prefer March pulley as it has better harmonic control.

      I have a slp ported pump. I generally hate SLP stuff but, I think it was the best 170 I ever spent. I have 55 psi at idle and 75 plus psi at wot.

      i wouldn't get the chain through a local dealer, I made the mistake of paying out the *** at a local dealer with mine. I think Scoggin dickey has then for like 30 bux.

      the patriot kit comes with everything you need springs, locks, retainers, seats and seals. you can use the stock gear, I did and I have never had any isues.

      Yes it will work but matching gear set is the way to do it.
      Is there a difference between LS6 and SLP?
      You do not need a ported pump, those are overkill in most application unless you plan on going to past 7K rpm, which I doubt with your cam.

      Where can i get the gasket/bolt kit from?
      TSP
      I have heard bad things with March
      You heard wrong, I have 2 of them on on each car and the one on my Z's been there for 2+years. Good item with real dampening characteristics.

      I have no idea what the gain is over the 228r. Well the fact that it is a split cam with the exhasut being bigger it will have a little more affect.

      the +4 means that there is 4 degrees grounded into the cam, so when you go and install it, you can line it up dot to dot..

      So what brand of cam is this? I didn't see yours on TSP. I knew what the +4 is, but I don't really know why you put a cam in with a different degree than zero? Tell me!

      Eric.. My cam is a custom grind by Comp. There is a lot to learn why people grind it with it degreed. It helps a bunch of stuff. IE: TQ, HP DCR.

      But i promise when i get it installed i will get sound clips
