Cool pics. What happened with the motor? Why the disassembly?

Very interesting, couple of questions...

WTF is up with those pistons??

I am curious about your pics with all the **** cluttered on the drain plug. I too have some small chunks coming out of my motor onto the drain plug, but they aren't that plentiful. They're about the size of a sharpened pencil head, and look copperish in color. I had about 4-5 peices come out throughout 2 oil changes. Did you have any of these types of metal on the drain plug?

jmX and BIGBOS the motor was torn apart because im taking it to the machine shop to get some work done to it. There was nothing wrong with it. Its replacing my other block that had the bearing on the drain plug <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> and the rod sticking out the side of the block.

And I would like to thank Clint for taking the pics. It was his first time to tear down a motor so he wouldnt stop taking pics.

I should have pics of my blown motor sometimes next week.
