Valve Spring questions... I did a search and didnt find an answer for these questions...What is the largest diameter spring an LS1 can fit without machine work? What diameter is the stock LS1 valve spring? I noticed in another post a person said you cant run double springs without having the heads off, what is the reason for that?? TIA

Re: Valve Spring questions... Not sure about the spring diameters, but you can probably find that info on the CompCams site ( http://www.compcams.com ). Look in their catalog under springs and look for the specs on the 915s and/or the 918s.
The reason you have to take the heads off for the dual springs is because you have to have the heads machined to hold the larger diameter dual springs.
