Default Question about oil level and pressure.

As much as I have done you think I would know this, but is 6 quarts of oil safe? I ended up doing the oil change and put 6 quarts in by using the wrong specifications sheet(corvette) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> .

I checked the oil level and it was half way up the arrow, above the full line. Should I worry about it or just make sure I put in 5.5 quarts the next time around?

The oil pressure reads over 40 when cold and over 60 past 2500. As it starts to warm up the pressure does drop some. At WOT it almost pegs the gauge on the 80 mark, but after the engines been running for 10 min it drops down to about 70.
Normal?

Here is a pic of my 95 Trans Am's dirty engine bay.

I just changed my oil and manual says not to check the level cold....do it when warm...otherwise you might get a higher than normal reading. sorry, that's all I know.
anyone else? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Autocross guys sometimes run 7 quarts with the longer filter.

I run the stock size filter. And, from now on, Castrol GTX oil. Synthetic is too damn expensive!
