TR 224 cam- base circle

TR 224 cam- base circle Is the base circle of the TR 224 (112LSA) smaller than stock? I'm upgrading from an LS1 HOT cam which maintains the same base circle. Using 7.400" length pushrods, I want to make sure I don't have a problem with my milled heads. I'll be using 918 springs.

Re: TR 224 cam- base circle Lots of folks here have been asking what the base circle of there various cams is. Most of these cams are manufactured by CompCams. I would certainly believe CompCams would know the exact base circle is for every cam they grind, but I don't think people are calling CompCams Tech Line to find out.

Anyway, if its not the same as the stock LS1 cam, (and I doubt that it is), it would certainly have to be smaller, requireing [longer] pushrods.
You say you have milled heads. That by itself would require [shorter] pushrods.
In that senerio, the 2 measurments will more than likely cancel each other out, requireing no change in pushrod length from stock. Make sense?
Anyway, if I were you, I would make a call and find out. I don't know why they dont just post this info on the cam card. It is important info to know especially in applications (LS1) that dont have adjustable rocker arms.

Re: TR 224 cam- base circle My Comp cam has 2mm or .078" smaller base circle(total base circle not half) which means i need .039" longer push rods, but i am running stock length with no problems, FWIW.

What is your lift? You can normally get a close guesstimate of your cam's base circle based on lift.
