Idle set screw question
Is there really a way to raise and lower the idle speed on these cars? if so How can I do it? I thought it was computer set. I would like to drop my idle a bit for my cam. <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />
You may want to raise your idle a bit for your cam. Dropping the idle on a large cam will generate misfire codes and make the car difficult to drive.
You can raise your idle up to 200 rpm using the idle set screw before you set an SES light.

The only way you'd be able to drop the idle via the set screw is if the TB blade is already partially cracked open. You can turn the set screw all the way back if it's not already. If it did not crack the blade open any, then the only other way to do it would be to close the hole in the TB blade and re-drill a smaller one.

The screw is attached to the TB where the the shaft rests when the car is at the idle postion. It is a small tork 15 nut on the underside of the plate. Hope this helps if not let me know and I will try to emplain it better.
