Default will LS6 springs work for this?

Can '04 LS6 beehive valve springs handle a cam with .555" lift (w/1.6 rockers, .520" with 1.5's) and a ramp rate of 52? Have these laying around & want to use them on a gen 1 sbc project. Only specs/info on these springs I found through search are:
Max lift=.570"
90lbs @ 1.8"
280lbs @ 1.25"
coild bind @ 1.16"

I know they'd handle the lift, but wasn't sure if a 52 lobe is too aggressive for them. Max RPM would be 6000. Thanks!

I think they will, but you may have to shim the springs atleast .050 or more to make them work with your cam.

LS6 rockers are 1.7 ratio so 1.5 or 1.6 will be less intense (lower valve velocity)

LS1 rockers are 1.7's too, I don't see a reason to shim.

Thanks for the replies!....so a ramp rate of 52 shouldn't be anything to worry about w/1.6 rockers?

Your main concern now is, "What is the installed height with your gen 1 sbc set up"? The LS1/LS6 is 1.8" I think.

So if your new installed height is greater than 1.8" I would shim to 1.8" or slightly less 1.750".

I'm planning on installing them at 1.8".
