I'm going to make my own comment page. I vote for a set of forged pistons and rods w/ the stock crank. IMO, a daily-driver A4 shouldn't put anymore power to a 4L60E than what a heads/cam setup will produce. Anything past that will be a big gamble. Just look at my T/A. A stock-cid w/ forged internals and a badass heads/cam setup will kick ***, and you'll always have a bottle for a little kick. You can setup a window switch to keep the trans from shifting on the bottle. This will be nicer IMO because it'll be no problem to hit low 11's with a heads/cam setup with one of the XE-R grinds with a full-weight car, it'll be very streetable for daily use, you'll have a built bottom-end to take the added power from N2O, and you're more likely to get away with a 10-bolt for a while. There are quite a few heads/cam A4 cars still abusing the 10-bolt, and there are even a few strokers still doing the same. I plan on punishing mine this Saturday with a few 1.5x 60' times, and they'll only get quicker down the line. I guarantee that if I ever have to build another engine for my SS it'll be stock cubes w/ forged pistons. TH350's suck unless it's just a drag car that racks up its mileage a 1/4-mile at a time. Let Chuck build ya a level IV, and see how much hell you can give it.

thanks for the input trev...if i do the MTI thing i may let the guy that did josh's trans do mine. the stock rear will stay for a while. i put the SY on there since i wont need much tq mult. with a 422 and id like to have some rubber left after a few weeks.. i guess it all depends was the shop will build and warranty.
