LS1 Cam only setups
LS1 Cam only setups Next summer, I'm planning on running a cam only setup but I don't know too much about this stuff. What is some good setups and where can i order them from? I've heard people making almost 400whp on a TR224 setup (not sure what that means) and thats just what i want.
You're gonna need a big cam to get 400 RWHP, and you have a '98 which puts you at even more of a disadvantage.
Get something in the 228-230 range and hope for 375 RWHP and be happy, the car wil move and feel great.
Look at the Futral F11/12 cams....
I made 381 RWHP, stock heads, through 4:10's with a "mild" F11-112 cam.

If your looking for around 400 RWHP, and mostly drive on the street, I would suggest a custom grind cam. A lot of guys are going with a 228/232 .588/.592 on a 110+2. You dont have to rev it to the moon, and has good power under the curve. This is what I am putting in mine come this spring.

I have a TR224/224 112 cam and averaged 394hp on the dyno. Full bolt on with SLP long tubes. Cam put out great numbers and runs great for being a daily drivin car. Would possibly go a little bigger now looking back. My buddy has a F-13 cam in his car and runs great.
