Well i was following my friend driving my car down to houston to drop it off at steves, and when we were almost there he pulled over and said the check guages light had came on and the temp was all the way into the red, i guessin it had been there for a few minutes before he noticed but not too long because the motor didn't blow up or anything. Well I haven't driven the car in a weak cuz its been at tbe body shop but the body shop said they had no problems with the car so im guessing it musta suffered the problem on the way to steves house. anyways I checked the coolant and it was near bone dry, the seemed to be a leak on the bottom of the radiator from what i could tell fillin it with water. I filled it up with water and made it the rest of the way to steves (like 5 miles) and dropped the car off. So what damage could of happened, Warped heads? worse? I have no way of knowing how long the motor was running this hot, it sounded normal, nothing seemed wrong. Once it was turned off it cooled down fast so that has me thinking that it just happened, he had been following me for about 30 minutes so i wouldn't know if it was leaking.
What could of been damaged on my car from this?

You are probably ok, computer can compensate for extreme conditions. I would change your oil, and if you want check leakdown of motor, just to see if you affected seal in any way.Worst case scenario you could crack cylinder heads, but i really doubt it.Check it out.
