Default Question about $1000 legends tour rebate

My new 2002 Z28 just arrived today. I told my salesman I would pick it up this coming Monday.
I am going to a Camaro Legends tour event this Friday. I will pick up a $1000 rebate. Will I be able to use it when I pick up my car on Monday? I am worried they will see the date on the rebate and say that I was being untruthful with them and that I could have picked up my car today.
Does anyone know the specific rules?

(Sorry I posted this in the engine section, I couldn't find any lounge section like on ls1.com)

You will be fine taking it in. GM pays the rebate, not the dealership. For example, my Dad bought his 2001 SS in May of last year(2001), and got the rebate certificate in early October I think it was (whenever the tour came to San Diego). He turned it into the dealership and got the $1000 check from GM about 2 months later.

I got the legends tour rebate certificate last October, but I bought my car in August. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> My salesman is going to check to see if I can still get the $1,000 rebate. <fingers crossed> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

This is from the Camaro legends tour webpage:
"Visit the Camaro Legends Tour in 2002 to receive a FREE coupon which gets you $1,000 off the purchase of a new 2001 or 2002 Camaro. The coupon MUST be redeemed at the time of delivery and cannot be used after delivery. Sorry, there are no exceptions to this. Visit the kiosk at the main Camaro Legends Tour trailer for additional rules and details."

So, according to this you won't be able to get the rebate unless you present it at the time of purchase. My dealer is queer as a football bat about this stuff, though. They'll probably try to raise the pre-negotiated price on me or tell me I can't use the rebate because I should have picked the car up tonight. I'm all stressed out about what is going to happen. I go crazy when people try to screw me over.

Its the highest priority on the other site.
