I should have added this. For stock displacement.

JE 5 thousandths over bore pistons w/ Oliver or Lunati Pro Mod rods. This is a really nice combo and the same pistons/rods going in my 346ci motor.

Thunder Racing is a dealer for all the items. They are not on the webpage as of yet, but will be very shortly.

This means that you have to get your motor bored .005 over, right? If not, it will cause piston slap , right?

Finally, I'm confused as to what re-sleeving an engine is, but I'm guessing it's making the cylinder walls smooth again. Would this be needed as well?

Thanks
matt

Resleeving is when the cylinder liners are removed, and new ones replace them. Most often with LS1s, they are replaced with larger diameter ones to produce a big bore engine.

Here you can see the cylinders have a liner in them http://www.ebbsnflows.cz28.com/images/stageii-90.jpg

You can hone the stock ones some though, the amount dependant on year. Honing or boring is what smooths imperfections from the cylinder walls. You will need an oversize piston to properly fit the larger cylinder.
