Going to try something.... ;)
You would need more stall than you have now, and basically would need a 4800-5000 stall to make a powerband like that work at the track.
I remember when Terry would jump all over TR on stuff, now he follows them. Gotta love it.

Just because they are the first to post results doesn't mean they were the first to try. Maybe I'll run a 236/236 111ls camshaft, its not like the difference between the two is that significant, lol.
With my TP4400 the rpms are almost never below 5800rpm. Perfect candidate for a 6000-7300 power band in my opinion.

Trev I don't have any specifics for you but I've seen a few of these grinds before, awhile back. It seems like TR is having decent results with them right now, but back in the day the consensus was that a 224/218 cam didn't perform or idle any better than a 224/224 cam, for example.
Usually Terry is not this vague so he is clearly just making stuff up. I don't recall MMS ever running reverse split cams back then, I could be wrong.
A lot of shops try things and don't publish the results. I was just pointing out that I know TR isn't the first sponsor to try this idea, just the first to post about it on LS1TECH.COM.
In fact I suspect the "G5" cam is a 230/224 size camshaft on 112ls. I wish someone would spend the $20 and put it on a cam doctor.

Nope the G5 is not a reverse split cam.
FWIW I ran a reverse split lift cam last year...

U guys can slice it and dice it all u want, the bottem line is 248lbs is worth MAJOR ET.

JS you're not that far away from 10s just lose another 100#s and you'll be there. The funny thing with your car is you went 11.4x? with inexpensive streetable parts, and now go 11.17 with tons of high end race parts. It's funny to me, all that work for so little gain, you know? I'm sure you'll get in the 10s with a little more weight reduction.
I'm sure I could run 10s right now at the right track. I'm just having fun here trying new parts with my car like I always do, seeing if I can put myself in a position to compete with Scott, John, George, and the other really quick 346ci A4 guys. I think if I take another 150# off, add another 25rwhp, and drive to a track with 500' da or better, and get a 1.4x 60' time I'll have a shot at 10.6's. By the time I get there everyone else will probably have already run 10.3, but at the moment its still a fun goal to try for. Besides there are like 10 guys ahead of me on the waiting list for MMS 388 motors, so I have a little time.

Terry I did some calculating and 60RWHP is worth 4 tenths TOPS in a car already running 11.4 so I'm not that far off.
I do agree the sum of the parts just dont add up.
Once u start running 11.40 and quicker ET becomes harder and harder.

I thought the crank was offset ground, thats why I was calling it a mini superstroker.
