Does anyone have Comp 'R' Lifters in stock ?
Does anyone have the Comp 'R' lifters available ? It seems that no one can get a hold of a set. I guess they are on back order. I have a defective set and need a replacement. Any help would be appreciated.

The story behind the lifters is that comp was buying these lifters from a manufacturing shop that is no longer in business so they are in a jam now and have alot of back orders so the shops that have them could possibly sell them for more. Not sure what comp is going to do about this!!!!

Nothing at all. I talked to them twice on the phone today. The guy told me that he doesn't care that my lifters were defective and that I don't have a replacement. He said I am just one person, he needs to take care of the 1400 back orders first. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> Absolutely fabulous customer service. If I had a brand new set of stock lifters I would tell him to eat **** and forget about them. Well I dont and stock ones are $400 plus dollars. Anyway, I am sure a shop has a set laying around, I will try to find them.

Comp R's are a PITA anyhow.
Stay stock unless you rev 6800+ or go with the Cranes if you are really worried. Stock at .025-.035 should help control the valvetrain at higher rpm's. Just take the preload down a bit.
