Congrats Tony <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
524 rwhp with cutouts open <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> makes me want to drive my C5 with open headers all the time <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Now they can finalize my motor, I can't wait anymore <img border="0" alt="[whiner]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" />

Tony from the size of your engine i would say your peak is at 6000 because of your cam duration.Cam in 240 range is big but not in a 434" motor.I would be happy with that though, because piston speed is high at 6000 with 4" stroke.

Tony, what intake manifold are you running? Have you considered an extrude honed holley, or a custom fab unit? Also what concerns do you have spraying it hard with the 4.155 walls?

Great numbers Tony. This is one of the few big inch engines I've been impressed by. Crongratulations!!! I can't wait to see that thing run at the Southern Shootout...

Patman, read more carefully bud. 498 rwhp was thru the complete exhaust. 525 rwhp open cutouts. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Kewlbrz, I'm using an untouched LS6 intake. From what I've seen of the Holley there isn't much, if any, to gain. That sucks! I'll do a custom sheetmetal intake when I convert it to a solid roller cam setup next year.
10s shouldn't be a problem. I'm going to go for 10s NA on drag radials for a challenge <img border="0" alt="[pimp]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_pimp.gif" />

It's not the first 520+rwhp stroker I've seen, but it will probably be one of the quickest. Nice numbers. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
I need to change my sig! lol.

Congratulations Tony. I'm sure glad you built the BIG motor instead of one of those mini-mee deals. I knew it would work out nice but I hadn't heard that MTI was actually doing bores that big! That's outstanding power to say the least. I think that this is a new record for hydro-roller for sure. What did the Colonel's car make? Good luck at the track.

Re: MTI 434ci Dyno Results! 498 rwhp.....
Nice TQ curve after cut outs are open.
Anyone else notice the "double hump" tq curve before cutouts are open?
I've seen "double hump" tq curves on dyno's where there is a restriction issue.
Perhaps first hump is where it first encounters the restriction issue, and 2nd one is where the "natural tq peak" would've been if the restriction was not there.
On the sheet metal intake work with someone who's going to know what you need. I'm predicting something that has runner in the range of 8-12", good plenum size, and a runner taper to the head, but intake flow of about 350CFM without heads attached.
Heck look at the big ford EFI's that make power. They usually use the victor jr or super vic carbed intake converted to EFI. These intakes flow in the range of 325-400cfm without heads attached.
Setup for carb operation up to 8500 rpm out of 351 cubic inches.

Sounds absolutely awesome, Tony...
Jeff says we should wait about a week or so to see how the water does, and then we'll start moving with a 393 ;-)
I love those results <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
