Seems like an awfully big risk on an all aluminum motor when "factory" head gaskets aren't all that much more...

Just my $.02...

NoGo, they may have a few left in stock but all the new ones are packaged in this manner. I lucked out and got a set from my dealer.

BurnOut, you can no longer buy head gaskets individually from GMParts anylonger. They are only sold in kits of MANY miscellaneous gaskets and it costs around $300. The ones NAPA sells are made by the same company that makes the GM Factory head gaskets for the LS1. No risk at all. He'll be getting great quality gaskets for around $40

I was going to head down the dealer today and order some head gaskets and bolts. Guess that's not going to happen <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" />
