The only people who say AFR's are the best are the people that have them.
The TFS heads have produce better numbers from what I have seen.
There is a member here that produced 498rwhp N/A on a stock bottom end with TFS heads. Do a search, you will see.

600 rwhp is cake , Buy a 347 or 383 shortblock and pulley the **** till you max the blower
The cams that Tony spec'd is all you need , you dont need a huge cam . Also all you need is MAC short tube headers . Let the Procharger make the power , strength'n your foundation to hold that power .
This combo is tried and true
224/228 114 lsa for smog go 115- 116 lsa
AFR 205cc

That vette is nasty.
Don't get me wrong here guys, AFR's are great, TFS are good too. If anything, minimal difference between the two. To be honest, the 1st set of aluminum heads I EVER bought were TFS 23 degree Kenny Duttweiler series. I threw them on a fairly mild 355 in my 91' camaro with a nice combo and have just loved them. So I guess you could say I have a thing for TFS heads.
I agree with Tony as far as your build goes. But if you do have the cash, go 402 cubes over 383 dude, you'll love it. My buddy has an 00' SS: 402, West Coast heads, 224/228 cam, Kooks longtubes, Magnaflow Cat-back = 470rwhp thru the exhaust. It pulls my buddies 98 vette: same West Coast heads 224/224 cam/ lt's etc. so hard it unreal. those extra cubes just give you that much more potential.
I definately think that the 224/228 cam on a 115 lsa would be your best bet now that I have pondered it for a while.
Good luck man.
Just remember, if you don't hit 600rwhp, high 500's isn't to shabby either!!!!lol!

GREAT Foum!!!
Guys - I hyperlinked over here from Corvette Forums & think this is an outstanding site ( especially from a technical standpoint! )
I was looking to see what the "perceived" max power a stock LS6 w/stock internals could handle before needing to go forged & if I understand things, 600 rwhp seems to be it? I'm purchasing an '01 Z06 w/a MagnaCharger & it already dynos 487 rwhp so I was looking for a little extra via nitrous ( since the M112 is maxed out airflow-wise ).
Thanks for the help ( sorry if this is a hijack ) but the search feature led me here. I'll be back for more advice!!

Trickflow heads are kickin ***!! Sorry but they really are making #s and Ive seen some results with my eyes.
The people I deal with only use whats best whether it is afr, etp, and now trickflow. All 3 are great heads dont get me wrong, but not equal.

On my set up, I'm using stock pulley and Its fun to drive. I believe you, some guys here in Cali are running the same set up like what I got and they are on high 5's to 600 HP. I just want to play it safe, i f I have forged bottom end it more reliable and it will last longer than stocker.
