A broken spring can cause all of the problems you described in the previous corvetteforum.com post. And it doesnt take more than about 1 second. My car ate the entire engine in less than 5 seconds. But the valvetrain wasnt the cause. If the spring was broken when they pulled it apart, that is 99% likely the cause. Broken springs drop valves. Other issues dont break springs. A broken rocker would not drop a valve. I have had 5-10 rockers "leave" when I was messing with the Cranes and T&Ds. Not once was a valve even bent.

You need to push MMS for a resolution to this problem on their dime. I know that ARE has repaired every problem their heads have caused on my car for free, and I know that MTI would do the same. They should consider it a cost of doing business. Pushing off the problem as "Boy, you drove for miles" is insulting to your intelligence and their integrity. And dont worry about Terry. His thoughts on vendors lost all worth a long time ago

Holy ****! The letters MMS were mentioned in a topic and Terry wasn't the first one to post

It's funny how Terry is all over MMS nuts when something good happens but disappears when the **** hits the fan. Hmmm......

That really SUCKS Aaron. I know how much you were looking forward to a fast reliable combo.

Are/Were they MMS springs or another brand? Doubles?

I hope it all works out for you.

Which MMS spring?

What cam, what cam lift?

What was the spring install height.

I broke an MMS spring after 7k miles.

Man oh man, would I hate to own a Ls1 in Cali. There are no good tuners out there to take your car to.
