head gasket
head gasket Hi, I just installed a 243 heads in my 99 ls1. I used the Gm steel shim design head gasket thats 060 thick instead of the grafite one and was wondering if thats okay for me using this gasket with these heads on my 99 block. I'm really hoping that i dont have to take them out to replace with the grafit one. Please help
it will be fine. i just used the gm mls on my rebuild. i wish they would have never created those grafite gaskets. i am pretty sure that half my job time was cleaning the block deck for the install.
