ARP head studs & head install
and yet another question....
For an F-body. Is there any problem removing and installing the heads with ARP studs? Or do you have to remove the engine to get the heads on and off?
I would like to get a set, but when I called around to a couple of our sponsors asking this same question. The results:
2 No's
1 Yes
1 It depends
So what is it? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

THere are absolutely no problems. I have ARP head studs and I have pulled off my heads with no problems whatsoever. Its not even close. You kind of have to wriggle the head to put it on back near the AC box, but I didnt have any issues.
I'd like to know what vendors said there were issues and who said "it depends" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Don't like to name names, because it always depends who you get on the phone. Some know, some don't, and of coarse every car is different.
It Depends: "Its tight, but it depends on how much time you are willing to spend"
Can I install a Boeing Jet Engine in my Trans Am.... "Its tight, but it depends on how much time you are willing to spend" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Thanks for the info.
