Default TR224 guys questions????

I have aquired a TR224 cam with a 112 lsa. All I plan on doing is replacing the springs and the pushrods, is there anything else ( I am replacing the timing chain as well) that I should need to worry about. I plan on getting CC 918 springs, what pushrods is TR using in thier kits? I am leaving my heads stock for now. Just want to see what some of you would recommmend

Well thats news to me about the gm lifters.I am pretty sure lots of guys here are running their similar cams to 6500 and a bit beyond. And considering its such a pain changing lifters in the ls1 I thought I would wait till next year when I do new heads. The ls1 lifters can't be changed with heads on like the lt1 and earlier small block chevy's.

Thanks guys, so I should be ok with new push rods from CC and the 918's on the stock retainers right. Cause that is all I am going to do until the head gets reworked

918's, 7.40 stock length comp cam pushrods should be more than adequate.

Your stock GM lifters will work just fine up to 6800-7000rpm. Besides Comp Cams is a on a mucho factory backorder for theirs and have had a few failures from a few people.

NICE damon!!!!!! timing chain should be fine and you will need a big ole rev limitor to spin that motor up now! cant wait for the sekrit mod! CC has pushrods for thier cams available. stock length or just a bit shorter is available (depending on the base circle of the cam).

If you plan on revving past 6250, then you should plan on replacing the lifters. GM only rates them to that RPM...
