Does the hotcam kit include springs? If it does then A good spring compressor and an air chuck to keep the cylinders pressured up during the spring change. Take your time and good luck. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

I used the dot to dot method on the springs..worked fine but did drop a valve by getting ahead or ourselves and having the engine turned to the wrong place. It came out no problem.Just held it with pencil magnet and turned engine. No worries mate...
I didn't use any magnets to hold up the cam..spun it over several times and they stayed up just fine.Cam swap was easy enough..valve springs aren't fun on the car..used a lylse tool with star handle on one end.the handle removes and you can then put socket or wrench on it for those fun back springs on the passenger side.I also used the longer arm attachment that came with it.
Air is fine if you want to mess with taking out plugs or are going to be changing them out anyway.Air will get the valves to stay up better so it may be a bit easier to get the valve keepers on or off.I would buy spare keepers.
I bought a bunch of gaskets but the 99 has resuseable water, valve cover..etc..should have mabye changed seal on timing cover but since it wasn't ripped didn't bother.Might change it when I do my ati pulley. No leaks or any problems so far..put about 1000 miles on with new cam.Great mod.Did blueprinted katech oil pump at same time as cam.
