Hey Brad or anyone

My speed shop called, they said that my Trans Am *MAY HAVE A BLOWN HEAD GASKET* the reason that they say is b/c there was very little coolant in the radiator, but when theu drained the oil outta the motor it was fine in color. Also in my oil catch can, the oil was like a milky color. i was thinking that there was water in the crankcase, i only drove the car for 20 miles when i checked it?? Another thing to note, before i put the ta in storage i did a coolant flush. now i am thinking that maybe there was some air pockets, and when they air pockets got out, it caused the coolant level to drop???? I never did check it again after i stored it , thought that it would be fine?? i said that there was a spot on the header but that could have been from when i washed the car with an undercarriage was, also when i washed the motor as well? i did wash the car with an under carriage was on 12/16/06...

Any ideas????? i think air bubbles are the cause fo this????????

let me know what you guys think?

Could be from air pockets, if the oil and coolant is normal in color your gaskets should be ok. It could just be leaking from somewhere though as well.

i have a feeling it was air pockets... At least that is what i am hoping. He said that there was less than maybe a 20 oz bottle in the radiator.... he siad the oil as far as color was real clean.. He said that he wiped where it there was a spot on the head, when the get the car fired up they will watch to see if it is leaking there.... Anyother ideas?????

20oz is almost nothing, if it was leaking like that through the gasket the car would be blowing out a lot of white smoke.
