Hessitation after H/C swap?

Im just wondering if an off idle stumble is normal for an UNTUNED H/C swap? i just want to make sure so i know its nothing that i did thats wrong with it. it was very responcive when the motor was stock. now it hessitates off idle, almost a bog. the cam is 231/237 SI5 cam and patriot heads.

Yeah, a cam that large with those heads and a stock tune will not drive very well. Get that thing tuned, and see a world of difference.

Without a tune, you'll likely be slower than stock.

first get it tuned. my cam only camaro did the same thing and it still does when its cold after it warms up it drives good

yeah it feels only slightly faster than stock. its running extremely rich as well. is that normal?

yep normal get it tuned and if you keep driving it like that replace those plugs before you tune it runnning rich is going to foul them out real fast mine wasnt that rich and i fouled out a few plugs driving less than 300 miles

thanks for the tips! i was going to drive it 4-5hours to get it tuned! now i think ill trailor it.

I got same cam 231/237 .589/.595 112+4 on my m6. did same thing. would stumble when I got to a stop light or sign. that size of cam u definettly need a tune. my base dyno was @ 312 rwhp. w/ heads (PP) and cam swap before dyno tune was @ 354 rwhp and rich. after dyno tune she finally topped @ 418rwhp/389rwtq. I'm happy
