Oil Pressure Question?
Well i was driving the car today and noticed that my oil pressure was sitting lower then usual. At idle the car is right around 20psi and then cruising at a normal speed it sits right about 30psi and then when i get into the throttle it shoots to 40psi. Is this something to be worried about? I thought they usally sit right around 40psi normally and then shoot up above that at WOT? What do you guys think it could be? I replaced the sending unit not to long ago so i dont think that is the problem.

it would be lower at operating temp. but the same at start up from what i understand. mine sits at like 50 psi at idle and at wot it is 80+. so to me it seems kinda low.
How much oil pressure did you use to have? How long ago since you did the cam? Change oil pumpes? Change timing chain?
I would say 40 under wot is low. You can say 10psi for ever 1k rpms but on our cars its usually more than that.
