Default Higher oil pressure after H/C swap

After installing a set of stage 1 JPR heads, 220/224 .530/.534 114 LSA cam my oil pressure seems to be reading 10-15psi higher then before the swap.

I now read over 40psi at idle. At 5K I'm hitting over 70 (all according to stock gauge). At first I thought it could be because of using 10W-30 Dino oil for the break-in. I then changed it to 10w-30 Mobil 1 and hasn't changed.

Before the swap I was running 5W-30 Mobil 1. Can that account for the difference? Is it possible the sending unit got somehow damaged in the swap to read higher? Any other possible causes? Is there such a thing as too much oil pressure?

I didn't touch the pump, replace timing chain, etc.

Thanks,

George E.
